Jamia Millia Islami (JMI) will admit students in various programmes of the university for the session 2020-21 on the basis of the written test. The decision was taken in an important online extraordinary meeting of the Executive Council (EC), the highest decision making body of the university on 15th September (Tuesday). Mode of test and other modalities will be finalised and declared in due course of time.
The EC has also approved that results of the final semester/year of various programmes will be declared as early as possible by the university.
The EC was apprised about the conduct of final year examination of the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) on the campus and announcement of exam schedule.
JMI has conducted the final year/semester examinations of each faculty from 05.06.2020 to 20.06.2020 except the Faculty of Dentistry (FoD) and Centre for Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Sciences(CPRS) as the university was waiting for guidelines from the respective governing bodies.
The EC was also apprised about the Entrance Test of Jamia Schools, which will be conducted on the campus and that their schedule has been already declared.
It has also been approved that in the light of prevailing COVID-19 situation students may be allowed to deposit the university and school fees in two instalments. However, the students will be required to deposit the total fees before the issuance of the admit card of Annual/Semester/Board examination.
The EC has also approved the proposal and final structure of an Integrated Jamia Library System (IJLS) whereby all 34 JMI Faculties and Centres’ Libraries will be transformed into one IJLS.
